    • 1-Day Basic Massage for the Canine Athlete Workshop $249

      This workshop was developed for the canine sports enthusiast/competitor that wants to get the most out of their dog's performance. The workshop will focus on a massage routine that was developed after many years of working on the canine athlete. Some of the topics that will be covered include: 1. A massage routine developed for the canine athlete, 2. How to safely stretch the your dog, and 3. Warm up and cool down sequences. No previous massage experience is required prior to this workshop.

      Every participant will be allowed to bring a well-behaved dog which will be used during the hands-on portion of the workshop. You will also receive a textbook with over 70 pages of information and photographs illustrating the techniques discussed in the workshop. 

      Basic Massage for the Canine Athlete is approved as 8 hours continuing education under the NCBTMB program.

                            
    • 3-Canine Trigger Point Therapy - Protocols $649
      The protocols class is a 3-day hands-on workshop covering trigger point therapy protocols used to effectively treat myofascial trigger points that cause muscle dysfunction and pain in the canine body. The treatment protocols use massage techniques introduced in the Advanced Massage for the Canine Athlete course.  Since this class is for professional therapists, preapproval is required prior to registration.
    • 3-Day Advanced Massage for the Canine Athlete (Introduction to Canine Trigger Point Therapy) $649

      This is a 3-day canine massage workshop for the canine massage therapist that wants to get into the world of competition dogs. The workshop will focus on a massage routine that was developed after many years of working on the canine athlete. Some of the topics that will be covered include: 1. How to safely stretch the canine athlete, 2. Evaluating range of motion to determine areas that need special attention, 3. Typical trouble areas of the canine athlete, 4. Introduction to trigger point therapy, and 5. Putting it all together into a massage routine that most effectively addresses the needs of the canine athlete. 


      Every participant will be allowed to bring a well-behaved dog which will be used during the hands-on portion of the workshop. You will also receive a textbook with over 140 pages of information and photographs illustrating the techniques discussed in the workshop.  

      As a canine massage therapist, you can take your practice to a whole new level by working events such as agility, Frisbee, and flyball competitions. These dogs need your help, and with this workshop you'll learn the tools to provide such a service.

      This class is approved for 24 hours of continuing education credits under the NCBTMB program.  Since this class is for professional therapists, preapproval is required prior to registration.
